HKAIIFF INDEX is the asset indexing service of the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival. It runs on the IXF Standard and creates public records at index.film for AI films, workflows, characters and worlds. Free CODE registration makes a work visible; paid INDEX levels turn the record into an asset with a fixed address, a Root ID and AI-readable data.

What a record contains

  • A public code, a public URL at index.film/{code}, a Root ID in the form IXF-{TYPE}-{YEAR}-{CODE} and a machine URN
  • Structured asset data, rights declarations, AI-usage disclosures and version updates
  • Three views: a public page, an owner management view and a machine-readable view
  • Market fields, buyer intent and agent request actions at the higher levels

Service levels and list prices

Prices are the list prices published by HKAIIFF. Basic starts at US$199 for AI films and workflows and US$299 for characters, IP and worlds; Pro and Platinum pricing may vary by asset type.

What an INDEX record is, and is not

  • Registration is not proof of title, selection or licensing, and it does not replace existing identifiers such as ISAN, EIDR or IMDb.
  • An index record is a continuously maintained record with versions, review and revocation status; a certificate is a one-time frozen credential.
  • HKAIIFF describes INDEX as a structured index record and due-diligence basis, not a copyright registration or legal instrument.
  • Partners must present INDEX with the same wording. Promising that a record proves ownership or guarantees income is a breach of the brand guidelines.

How a customer registers

    Create the record

    Choose the asset type and create the record on hkaiiff.io with basic data, cover and creator information.

  2. 02

    Document versions

    Keep public descriptions, version identifiers and private rights material separate.

  3. 03

    Review public content

    The holder approves everything that is published, including INDEX ASK answers.

  4. 04

    Upgrade in place

    Levels unlock on the same asset page; customers can skip levels. Activation happens at hkaiiff.io, or in batch through an accredited registrar.

Graduate and cohort registration

Register every work of a class or community with CODE, then upgrade the strongest works to INDEX Basic as a curated catalogue.

Studio project records

Set up records for a studio’s works, characters and worlds with consistent rights declarations and version discipline.

Festival and market preparation

Prepare a customer’s entry materials, AI disclosure and rights information alongside the INDEX record. Festival entry for HKAIIFF 2027 is US$99 per work and runs on hkaiiff.io.

Ongoing maintenance

Keep versions, keywords and published Q&A current, and handle the annual Pro and Platinum renewals.
